GP Practice Opening Hours
Access to GP Appointments is Improving.
GP practices in Bassetlaw are normally open from 8.00am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday
Some practices already open earlier or later than that on some days and may also provide services on a Saturday. They will continue to offer this to their patients.
From October 1st 2018 all patients in Bassetlaw will have access to some extra GP & Nurse appointments, during the evenings (6.30pm – 8pm) and at weekends.
Bassetlaw GP practices are working in partnership to deliver some of these evening and weekend appointments so you may be offered an appointment at a different surgery to your normal one.
To access any of these appointments you should call your normal GP practice who can arrange it for you.

How it works
The Retford and local village GP practices have joined together to provide evening and weekend extended access. Three sites will host the extended access across the week. ANY PATIENT can book any of the appointments. Book in by contacting your own practice.

To improve access to GP services the extended access appointments will be delivered by a variety of clinical staff i.e. GP’s, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, health care assistants and other community staff.
The aim is for patients to experience the same level of care, even though they may attend a different surgery and see different healthcare professionals.
